Velocity Plant Services is growing, and we are looking for a driven relationship focused Business Development Associate to help expand our presence into a new territory. As part of the Velocity family of companies, Velocity Plant Services supports water and wastewater facilities with the maintenance, repair, rehabilitation, and plant service solutions needed to keep critical infrastructure operating. Our work is built around responsiveness, long-term relationships, and understanding what our customers need before a problem becomes an emergency. We’re looking for someone who enjoys meeting people, building connections, learning an industry, and developing a market over time.
What you’ll do:
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and trends.
- Assist with the preparation and delivery of presentations and proposals to potential clients and partners.
- Assist with the preparation of reports and other materials related to business development activities and results.
- Support the management of existing client relationships to ensure their satisfaction and continued business with Velocity Plant Services.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure that sales and business development efforts are aligned with overall company goals and objectives.
- Provide support to the Director of Business Development in the execution of business development strategies and initiatives.
- 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or related role (entry-level)
- Knowledge of the industrial and/or manufacturing sector
- Experience in the plant services or maintenance industry
- Strong interest in business development and a passion for driving growth and success.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.

Compensation: $30,000 to $40,000 annual base salary with generous commission plan and unlimited earning potential.
Hours and Location: This is a full-time professional position primarily working remotely, with occasional time spent in our office during normal business operating hours of Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm.
